OEB Approves Merger of Veridian Connections Inc. and Whitby Hydro Electric Corporation
A new vision paper by the Electricity Distributors Association and its member local utilities proposes a new way forward for Ontario’s electricity system that recognizes consumers as drivers of change and leverages new technologies to deliver high-quality electricity services.
Over 80 people showed up to build the world’s longest picnic table, 448.2 feet long, on Friday Aug. 17 in Whitby. The previous Guinness record was 120.3m (394 feet) set in Athens, Greece on June 22, 2014, said a Habitat for Humanity-Durham spokesperson.
