Veridian’s Conservation Ambassadors kick-off summer tour this weekend in Pickering
Utility representatives to promote conservation programs to help customers conserve energy and better manage electricity costs
Ajax, ON – Veridian’s Conservation Ambassadors will kick-off their summer tour at Pickering’s annual Ribfest event, being held June 1st to 3rd at Esplanade Park – City Hall. The Ambassadors will be making appearances at events and festivals in the communities served by the utility to promote the company’s conservation programs that can help customers conserve energy and better manage their electricity costs.
“We are very excited to have Veridian’s Conservation Ambassadors join us at Pickering’s Rotary Ribfest this weekend to educate city residents and visitors on Veridian’s conservation programs and the simple actions they can take to reduce energy use,” said Mayor David Ryan. “We all have an obligation, to ourselves and to future generations, to do whatever we can to reduce our environmental impact. Building a culture of conservation is good for the environment.”
Visitors to the Veridian booth can learn more about the saveONenergyOM conservation programs being offered by Veridian and funded by the Ontario Power Authority. The Conservation Ambassadors will explain the benefits customers can achieve by taking advantage of the energy-saving measures and incentives available by participating in the programs.
“It’s important that we provide responsible energy conservation choices to our customers, and we’re looking forward to connecting with them during the summer tour,” said Eryn Wishnowski, Veridian’s Conservation Specialist. “The Conservation Ambassadors will have material on a wide range of topics, from energy conservation brochures to time-of-use decals. Veridian is committed to providing its customers with resources to help reduce their energy use and lower their electricity bills.”
The Conservation Ambassadors schedule is posted on Veridian’s website at www.veridian.on.ca.
