Veridian customers issued coupon booklets with discounts on energy-efficient products
Utility’s ‘Conservation Ambassadors’ scheduled for community appearances to provide conservation tips and advice

Ajax, ON – Veridian customers are encouraged to watch their mailboxes for valuable coupon booklets that provide discounts on a range of energy-efficient products for the home. The coupon booklets are part of Ontario’s new ‘saveONenergy’ initiative to further encourage a culture of conservation across the province through programs for homes and businesses designed to make it easier than ever to manage electricity use. The initiative supports a cleaner Ontario, and provides consumers and business owners with year-round tools, tips and incentives to help them manage their electricity use and save on energy.

“In a time of rising energy costs, tightened family budgets and increasing attention to environmental impacts of energy use, the coupons will help families save money throughout the year when they purchase and install energy-efficient products for their homes,” said Eryn Wishnowski, Veridian’s residential conservation program manager. “Consumers will benefit from energy-efficient products in many ways – longevity of the product, reduced maintenance and lower operating costs.”

To help its customers take full advantage of the coupon booklets, Veridian has scheduled its Conservation Ambassadors to appear at a number of locations across its service area in the coming weeks. Ambassadors will be available to respond to questions concerning home energy use, and assist customers with signing up for a range of conservation programs offered by Veridian. They will also have additional product discount coupons on hand for distribution to booth visitors. The Conservation Ambassadors are scheduled to be at the following locations from April to May:
